Raymond’s family has visited Sun Valley, Idaho for generations – for holidays, family reunions and more. Over the years, this meant Emily shared in many family gatherings in and around Ketchum. After visiting, she also learned her own grandmother lived in Sun Valley for some time. So, when faced with the question of where they wanted tie the knot – Trail Creek Cabin was the perfect place.
One year prior to their big day, Emily and Raymond celebrated with a picnic on the property, as we started to dive into planning their big day. Many linen swatches, entertainment brainstorming sessions and wedding planning meetings later – Emily and Raymond’s friends and family traveled from all over the world (literally, a loved one flew in from Australia to officiate their wedding ceremony) and celebrated their love with an action-packed weekend in Sun Valley.
A few of our favorite moments from their wedding day include the newlyweds surprising their guests by singing the anniversary dance (full video here), our founder and lead planner Shelby having an impromptu first-look with Emily while setting up final details and closing out the night with Mr. Brightside, a tradition among their friend group.
